Biography

Short Biography 

Dr. Ghada Ankawi is an academic nephrologist and the Director of the Division of Nephrology at King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is a board member of the Saudi Society of Nephrology and Transplantation and chairs the Saudi Glomerulonephritis working group. Dr. Ankawi earned her medical degree from King Abdulaziz University and completed her residency at the University of Western Ontario. She further specialized in Kidney Disease in Pregnancy and Glomerular Disease at the University of Toronto and completed a research fellowship in Critical Care Nephrology at the International Renal Research Institute of Vicenza, Italy. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ankawi is actively engaged in research with a particular interest in kidney disease during pregnancy and glomerular disease.
